Ladies and Gentleman!
The world's first genetically altered rice crop has now entered the food supply thanks to the Chinese.
The New York Times has the story, and we can only hope for the sake of humankind that genetically altered rice is safe to eat. Although under development in the U.S. and other countries, it has not been released for farming and for general consumption. Not enough studies have been conducted, and certainly no labels have been created to let the consumer know what's up.
