Our Consilience Awareness Concert Series continues tomorrow evening, Wednesday, July 13th, at the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music in Park Slope.
This free event is entitled, "Classical meets GrowNYC.org meets The Blues!"
All of our concerts feature free live music as well as an opportunity to learn about volunteer opportunities with a local organization.
Our eighth in the concert series will feature GrowNYC.org and will open with short classical compositions & vignettes performed by small ensembles (see below).
Amanda Gentile, Communications Director of GrowNYC.org, will then detail how her organization has been advocating for over 40 years for greener communities all over New York City. Opportunities to volunteer and contribute to their important activities will also be discussed.
After an intermission -- which will include refreshments :) -- we will move on to the Blues/roots portion of our concert, with a performance by dynamic and soulful guitarist/vocalist Chris Bergson.
All in all, a great night of free music and social activism!
