Greenland is melting...Greenland is melting.

New research is shedding light on the ramifications of global warming on melting the icecaps of Greenland. The fresh water returns to the sea and is disrupting the natural flow of the ocean currents which bring warm water up from the equator into the northern most reaches of the Atlantic.

The computer models are not yet clear, but something is happening that could forwarn of drastic changes in the climate. Read this fascinating account of current research taking place in Greenland in an attempt to track these changes.
