The folks over at the Program on International Policy Matters have posted a fascinating survey of Republican's knowledge of their leader's positions on various matters.
It seems as if only 24% of those Republicans surveyed know that Bush opposes "Participation of a treaty that bans the testing of nuclear weapons" while 77% of Kerry supporters know that Kerry supports that treaty.
Kevin Drum has a terrific little table showing how ignorant Republicans really are about their leader's positions on many of the issues. Undoubtedly, if Bush's supporters really knew how extremist he is, there is no way they would support him. As Kevin states: "If the electorate understood just how conservative Bush really is, he wouldn't have a snowball's chance of winning the election this year."
Here's another tidbit from that survey: Only 20% of Bush's supporters knows that Bush opposes "Participation in the Land Mines Treaty" while 79% of Kerry's supporters correctly know that Kerry supports that treaty.
