OK, this can't be a good thing:
On April 15th, the Treasury Department issued a press release entitled, "Treasury and IRS work to make paying taxes a little easier." At the bottom of the page, are these words:
"America has a choice: It can continue to grow the economy and create new jobs as the President's policies are doing; or it can raise taxes on American families and small businesses, hurting economic recovery and future job creation."
Now, on a FACT SHEET page (dated 4/2/04) of the Republican National Committee over at GOP.com you'll find these same words near the bottom of the page:
"America has a choice: It can continue to grow the economy and create new jobs as the President's policies are doing; or it can raise taxes on American families and small businesses, hurting economic recovery and future job creation."
What is going on here? How can the taxpayers be subsidizing the Republican's propaganda? Is this normal operating procedure?
That's truly hard to believe!

The text of some of the Treasury bulletins was even more partisan than the text in question. I wrote and posted an article on the subject at the URL attached to this message ( http://home.att.net/~rdavis2/treas1.html ). Feel free to use it in whatever way you wish.

Thanks for the URL. It's worse than we know! Do they have no shame?
