Stop by VoxPop Cafe in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn, this Sunday for the third installment of our Consilience Awareness Concert Series, entitled "The $10 Club."
This event continues our "Live Jazz for Social Change" message where immediately following a performance by The Vinson Valega Quartet, there will be a panel discussion/interview with Adam Roberts, founder and Executive Director of the non-profit organization called The $10 Club - a group of compassionate individuals who donate $10 every month that is then pooled together and used to fund a poverty alleviation project.
Adam will discuss the great work they're doing around the world as they fund a different project each month. In addition, he'll speak about what it takes to start a non-profit from scratch, as well as his experience in the world of larger, more established 501(c)(3) entities. Read more about The $10 Club here and check out the projects they've funded over the years here.
The festivities start at 4:30pm, so don't be shy...bring the whole family!
