Just to show you that making music is not so easy, read this article about the experience of a one, Michael Walker (NY Times writer). This gentleman, who never composed a piece of music in his life before, conducted an experiment in public (you can listen to the result) to see if a novice could actually write music with the help of a computer program.

Judge for yourself, but after only a minute or two, we had to turn off his "masterpiece" and put on some Coltrane to clear the ears...
