This year the International Association of Jazz Educators conference will be held in New York City from January 21st - January 24th. Although a bit pricey to attend (a little over $310, which includes an annual membership), the organization is a tremendous asset to the jazz community around the world. There are many events taking place in public venues, too, both in the Hilton and the Sheraton where the convention is taking place, and around town. Check our links to clubs page to see which clubs are sponsoring IAJE events.

See the problem is that we all as artists need to support each other all year round and not just at the IAJE. Thats why so many people are struggling. I've seen so many cats complain about lack of people supporting jazz but it starts with musicians going to check out their peers.

Most definitely! The need to get out, go see the music, learn from our peers, and support-support-support the music can not be overstated!
