The Coffee Party: Summit to Address the Problem of Money in Politics

This past Friday, the Coffee Party and "Movement for the People" hosted a summit conference on the one year anniversary of the "Citizen United" Supreme Court ruling which legalized unlimited corporate donations for political candidates. It was separated into four sections and C-Span recorded them all:

Impact of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission

Following introductory remarks by Bill Moyer and Annabel Park, panelists talked about the impact of and reaction to the Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission in 2010. Following panelists' remarks, they answered questions from audience members. Panel members included David Cobb of Move to Amend, Adam Smith of Public Campaign and John Bonifaz of Free Speech for the People
