Recycle your computers at any Goodwill now.
February 24, 2009 11:41 PM

Goodwill and Dell are now partnering here in New York City to provide a FREE drop-off service where you can leave your computer and other computer equipment for recycling. That's right...it's FREE:

Con Edison is proud to promote Reconnect, a free and convenient computer recycling program for residents. Reconnect is a partnership between Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey and Dell, Inc.

The fact sheet is here and includes a list of the drop-off locations around the city.

Other cities and states are instituting this fantastic program, as well, including San Francisco, Austin, Michigan and North Carolina, to name just a few. The nation-wide program is called ReconnectPartnership.com and lists over 1,000 drop-off locations searchable by zip code.

Check it out and drop it off!

Yup! I just dropped off a dead PowerMac today. Very convenient indeed.
