The War on Iraq continues and will most likely escalate even with Saddam's hanging today.
It's doubtful that his death will lead to anything other than more death. This cannot end well, and yet it's really the only accomplishment that the Bush administration can hang it's hat on (so to speak). At the same time, we're heading towards 3,000 U.S. Troops dead and over 25,000 injured. It's like watching a massive car accident in slow motion.
For a comprehensive analysis of Saddam's trial - arguably the most important war crimes trial since Nuremberg - you can visit this website from Case Western University where you can actually read the English translation of the trial judgement. Historically important, indeed.
