Creeping Fascism in the United States of America
June 28, 2006 6:07 PM

House Republican leaders are expected to introduce a resolution today condemning The New York Times for publishing a story last week that exposed government monitoring of banking records.

The resolution is expected to condemn the leak and publication of classified documents, said one Republican aide with knowledge of the impending legislation.

Damn! This is getting creepy when the U.S. House of Representatives sets out to condemn part of the fourth estate.

Stay vigilant, fellow Americans. If the press is not free to report on our government, what kind of country are we really living in?

Finally, was it really treasonous what the NY Times reported concerning the new program of data mining? Kevin Drum asks this very question.
